Students of Decay, one of my favorite labels, had one of those years that favored quality over quantity. The three releases (Sarah Davachi’s Baron’s Court, Alex Cobb’s Chantepleure, and En’s City of Brides) were masterful exercises in ambient, drone, and experimental music.
